The Tāmaki regeneration programme aims to bring more homes, parks and playgrounds, infrastructure, transport, education and jobs to the area, so that everyone in Tāmaki can flourish and grow. Sophisticated planning and forecasting tools are critical to the programme’s success, e.g. to estimate future demand.
To improve the organisations in-house access to existing R Shiny-based planning and forecasting tools we helped Tāmaki Regeneration improve their data science infrastructure - so all R Shiny apps can be deployed on Microsoft Azure.
The new infrastructure enables self-service and dynamic reporting, accessible to Tāmaki staff. Improved access to important planning tools will support the organisation to deliver its affordable housing programmes.
To enable staff to easily deploy and update apps we built an efficient Microsoft Azure containerised hosting infrastructure, complemented by a Git-based CI/CD pipeline.
Working in close collaboration with Tāmaki Regeneration team we provide ongoing support of the hosting environment and help keep the internal infrastructure up to date and high performing.
